MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Dr Kennedy Malama says 61 new COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,199. Giving the daily COVID-19 updates, Wednesday, Dr Malama said 2,892 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative total to 154,948. “On a sad note, we recorded 61 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours. Of the new deaths, 55 percent were females and 45 percent males. We have continued seeing self-prescriptions and treatment in our communities.
