A 30-YEAR-OLD illegal miner has died after a rockfall while conducting mining at Mukula Mine in Lufwanyama District. Outgoing Copperbelt Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba has identified the deceased as Besodiah Zimba from Mukutuma Chiefdom in Lufwanyama. He explained that while in the company of other illegal miners, the deceased was extracting earth in search of minerals when the accident occurred. “Lufwanyama Police Station [recorded a case of] sudden and unnatural death.
