DRUG Enforcement Commission (DEC) Director General Nason Banda says hospitals and clinics are struggling to cope with the influx of patients suffering from drug-related illnesses. And Banda has urged youths to refrain from alcohol, drug and substance abuse by engaging in healthy activities and striving for excellence in all they do. Meanwhile, United Nations Resident Coordinator Beatrice Mutali says investing in the prevention of drug abuse means addressing root causes such as poverty, lack of education and unemployment, among others.
