THE Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) says the absence of a substantive director general does not affect its operations. ZICTA Board Chairperson Professor Mundia Muya also says a consultant engaged to review the authority’s restructuring process has concluded its report. On October 11, 2024, ZICTA announced the resignation of its director general, Eng Choolwe Nalubamba. Giving an update in an interview, Prof Muya said an acting director general had been appointed. “We appointed somebody to act. There is somebody acting right now,” he said.
