BUS and Taxi Owners Association of Zambia national chairman Sydney Chewe has expressed concern over the non-availability of Transport Minister Frank Tayali when it comes to addressing the unstable business environment in the transport sector. On Thursday, bus operators at Intercity bus terminus in Lusaka staged a protest by halting the operation of long-distance buses, leaving several travellers stranded. Some long-distance drivers said the protest was sparked by the suspension of Juldan Motors’ license, which they described as unfair.
