RED Arrows netball club are 2023 Independence tournament champions after amassing nine points in a tournament played via a round-robin at the Mukuba Mall in Kitwe. The two-day tournament attracted participation from six elite ladies’ teams, with the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) sponsored side emerging winners. Finishing second was Napsa with eight points, while Green Eagles settled for third-place with seven points in a tightly contested tournament. Nkwazi finished fourth with four points, while Kansanshi took fifth place. The Community team finished last without a point. In the men’s elite category, Green Eagles emerged as champions after finishing the tournament with six points, surpassing closest rivals Ndola Spartans, who finished with two points.
