THE National Olympic Committee (NOC) has challenged the women’s and men’s hockey national teams to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Speaking during the jersey unveiling and send-off, where Cavendish University and OYDC-Zambia unveiled a $2,800 (K58,800) jersey sponsorship deal, NOC Teasurer Victor Banda urged the two teams to remain focused and disciplined ahead of the task ahead. The Africa Hockey Road to Paris (men and women) qualifiers are set for the University of Pretoria Hockey Stadium from October 29 to November 5. Zambia will be looking to qualify for its first ever senior Olympics after having qualified for the junior Olympics twice in 2014 and 2018.
