AS excitement builds for this year’s National Arts Festival, scheduled for August, the National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has donated K400,000 to support the event. NAPSA has expressed its commitment to working with the National Arts Council (NAC) to support the growth of the arts sector and ensure that artists are not overlooked when it comes to social security. The Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Arts says an estimated 1,000 artists have signed up for the special NAPSA programme, as of this year. The National Arts Festival is set to run from August 27 to 31.
