THE National Assembly has authorised government’s plans to raise additional debt financing of K6 billion in domestic financing and $490.78 million in external financing in order to respond to the drought. Presenting the report of the Planning and Budgeting committee on the consideration of the 2024 Annual Borrowing Plan Amendment, Wednesday, Moomba UPND member of parliament Fred Chaatila said of this additional external financing, government plans to disburse $195.5 million in 2024.
