ZAMBIA and Tanzania have launched implementation works for the Interconnector Project. Speaking during the launch, Friday, Energy Minister Makozo Chikote commended the World Bank, European Union and the United Kingdom for granting Zambia $265 million for the implementation works. “It is with great pleasure that I stand before you today to mark the official launch of the implementation phase of the Zambian component of the Zambia – Tanzania – Kenya (Z-T-K) Interconnector Project, that has long been a beacon of hope, cooperation, and regional integration.
