THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has intercepted an inter-link truck carrying 160 drums of smuggled ethanol. In a statement, Sunday, ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Oliver Nzala said the smuggling led to a revenue loss of K1.6 billion. “The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has intercepted an inter-link truck carrying 160 drums of smuggled Ethanol. The interception occurred at Tony’s carpark in Magoye of Monze district. The ethanol was laden on truck with registration details KB81BBGP/HM09RKGP/HM09SCGP. The driver was unable to produce valid customs clearance documentation. The truck and its cargo were immediately escorted to the ZRA Controlled Premises – Makeni Enforcement Centre for thorough verification.
