CHAPTER One Foundation (COF) says government’s refusal to incorporate key safeguards during consultations on the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Acts has left the law dangerously unbalanced, prioritising state control over human rights protection. COF Executive Director Josiah Kalala further says the lack of official government communication about the President assenting to the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes laws is a significant lapse in transparency and democratic accountability.
