ZANACO head coach Numba Mumamba has urged his team to up its performance as they face Tanzania’s Young Africans in the CAF Champions League in March.
Former Zesco United coach George Lwandamina’s side, Young Africa will first host Zanaco on March 11, 2017 before coming to Lusaka seven days later.
Speaking to journalists in Lusaka, Mumamba said Young Africa was a difficult team which needed hard work to beat.
“We have to be focused so that we achieve our goals. We need to work harder to go far in the competition. We are meeting a very good side. We have played Young Africans several times in training games. We expect a very tough match,” Mumamba said.
Mumamba disclosed that the five foreign players, who were not registered for the preliminary round, would now play.
The Zambian Premier League giants have reached the first round after beating Rwandan side APR 1-0 on aggregate in the preliminary stage.
